Whit's Departure and Return

After Hal Smith died, the show explained Whit’s absence by sending him on missions work in the Middle East for about two years. Whit returned to Odyssey after Paul Herlinger took over the role, and although he considered a job that would send him back to Israel, he turned it down and decided to remain in Odyssey.
